Anglophone Teachers Strike Not over yet after day Two Dialogue

Day two of the Ad Hoc inter-ministerial Committee charged with examining and proposing solutions to the concerns by Anglophone Teachers’ Trade Unions” has ended in Bamenda with an adjournment to Friday January 13, 2017.



Talking to the Press and other onlookers just after the meeting rose just shortly after 8pm, Tasang Wilfred the National Executive Secretary General of the Cameroon Teachers Trade Union CATTU explained that out of the 15 pre-occupations tabled by the Anglophone Teachers
Trade Unions, Seven have been discussed and that the remaining eight will be handled from 9am Friday when the committee resumes.
While maintaining that the strike continuous, he however indicated that whatever decisions are arrived at; the Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium must be consulted before the strike is called off if need be.
He regrets the fact that lawyers will be meeting differently.written by
